Learn the skills required to safely and confidently pilot a tail wheel aircraft and join the elite rank of the tail dragger pilot. During flight time and ground schooling you will cover takeoffs, three-point and wheel-on landings with a chance to experience the challenge of crosswinds.

Each flight starts with an introduction of the safety aspects of the airfield, then on to the best bit! Into the flying suit and a pre flight briefing before getting into the aircraft. Once safely strapped in, the final checks are undertaken, the thrill of your first take off.

Essentially, a microlight is a very light aircraft carrying one or two people, with no more than 50 litres of fuel and weighing no more than 390Kg.

Pilots with no previous experience may wish to begin on the Thruster T300T, which offers an ‘interesting’ tail wheel experience – and from there it is a simple jump to the Tiger Moth to complete a tail wheel conversion.
